The problem we fixed
Empty space with only stone paving and a few pots—functional but far from inviting No year-round colour or interest No comfortable seating area Unsoftened fencing
Timeline Completed in stages (full transformation)
The client approached me wanting to transform her courtyard garden into a beautiful, inviting space she could enjoy throughout the year. She requested a comfortable seating area, a planting scheme with flowers that provide colour in every season, and living walls to soften and cover the existing fencing. The aim was to create a vibrant, cosy garden with continuous interest, turning her courtyard into a relaxing retreat full of year-round charm.
When we first saw the courtyard, it was an empty space with only stone paving and a few pots—functional but far from inviting. Through thoughtful landscaping, we added structured planting, layered textures, and vibrant seasonal interest to create a lush, intimate garden. What was once plain and unused is now a colourful, welcoming courtyard that the client is excited to enjoy throughout the year.
