We began the garden transformation in Amersham last year by creating new planting areas and gradually transforming different parts of the garden. The project started with a shady border, followed by the sunny patio area and the shaded section next to the house. The final stage, completed in June, introduced a Japanese-inspired garden with a central water feature, adding a serene focal point. The planting has transformed the garden to a whole new level, providing year-round colour and seasonal interest. The aim was to refresh the space and bring it back to life. Surrounded by greenery, the new planting lifts the colours and brings a sense of joy and vibrancy for the client.

• Perennials with flowering all year around like Astrantia, Brunnera, Heuchera, Anemone, Carex

• Shrubs like Pittosporum, Nandina, Hydrangea
